Prom is supposed to be one of the most special, sacred nights of your life, and of course you are going to want to look your very best.
Once you have found that perfect dress, it is time to work on your hair.
It really all depends on your own personal preference, but if you want an elegant, classic look, you should stick to a simple updo. Here are a few of my favorite prom hair tips to leave you looking your very best.
The first thing you are going to want to do is get everything you are going to need together.
Even if you really have no clue what sort of hairstyle you are going for, you want to have an array of hairstyling products and tools available.
Bobby pins, barrettes, blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron - make sure that you have access to a variety of materials so you have lots to work with.
Now that you are ready to get going, do a practice run.
Maybe you have a creative idea of your own that you want to try out, or a picture in a magazine that you would like to emulate.
Either way, you want to try the hairstyle out a couple days before prom, and see if it is easy enough for you to handle on your own and whether or not it turns out the way that you want it to.
This way you will not be rushing last minute and when you go to do it the second time around you will feel more comfortable and be able to perfect the look more easily, before adding on the creams and hairsprays.
Once you have gone through a trial run on your hair and prom night is here, you are ready to go. You can always get a friend to help you out from behind, as it can often be hard to get to certain spots when you are working on your hair yourself.
Hairspray or another holding product is a must here, because the last thing you want is for all your hard work to go to waste and your hair to fall flat.
You will find these tips very helpful once prom nears and you want to look your very best, but remember that if at any time you are discouraged, you do have the option of paying a small fee to get a professional to do the work for you.
