Hot Runway Look: The Pin-Up Girl

Does the pin-up girl look really ever go out of style? Personally I don't think so, but now the look is back strong, appearing on catwalks all around the globe.

This year it is all about the bob, as we have seen stars such as Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes sporting.

The ever-stylish bob goes faux for fall, with just a touch of subtle volume.

There is a very quick, simple way to achieve this look, which is as follows:

Apply a styling primer while your hair is still wet, and then blow dry all over until dry.
Now you want to work in small sections and lightly backcomb the hair from mid-shaft down to the ends for the most volume.
Pull the hair back into a loose ponytail, and secure with an elastic near the very end.
Flip the hair under and anchor it all around with bobby pins - stick to pins that are as close to the same color of your hair as possible so they are least noticeable - and pull out any shorter pieces and leave out to frame your face.
Now you just finish with a light spritz of some strong-hold hairspray, and the look is complete.

This look would be perfect for a night out with the girls or to that next Christmas party. Finish it off with a couple of crisscrossed bobby pins keeping back a side part, and you are all set to go.
