Smooth Hair: Straight from the Start

Picture 27.png Ah, hair. The mane of glamour, and the bane of our existence. Mine is troublesome. Long, thick and heavy, with just enough wave to keep it from laying straight - but far from enough to make it look like it actually has any kind of wavy style. Essentially, enough to make it take a left at my ears and straight on til morning. For years I simply tried to beat it back with mousses, gels, blowdryers and brushes, until one day I realized: I can start this whole process far earlier in the morning. In the shower, to be exact. And with far more impressive results.

It all changed the day I strolled into an Aveda store and found Smooth Infusion shampoo and conditioner. Smelling spa-like and decadent, with thick, luxurious lather in the shampoo and smoothing, silky cream in the conditioner, using these products together has significantly improved my whole hair routine. Combined with some Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother, I now simply blow my hair dry using a flat brush, pointing the hair dryer down the hair shaft, pulling it straight as I go. Whereas before, I had to use the flat iron on my whole head, layer by layer, now I only need it on the top to smooth the strays. A slick of Light Elements Smoothing Fluid to shine the strands up and voila - smooth, shiny hair, free of kinks, frizz and curls. And in way less time. Who could resist?
